Taste Test: Clean Energy Smoothie Packs

See what our crew thought of the on-the-go nutritional product.

Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Clean Label recently launched its first product, Clean Energy: a banana, strawberry, blueberry, spinach and flaxseed smoothie pack.

Per its name, Clean Label prioritizes a short list of ingredients only consisting of foods that come from nature.

The smoothie packs are fully organic, plant-based, kosher, vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO.

The company sent along some Clean Energy samples for our staff to try out.

The company defines “Clean Label” as being free of added sugars, artificial flavors, lab-developed extracts, colors or preservatives, or “natural” flavors.

Clean Energy is branded as bringing together the nutrition of Clean Label and certified organic with the convenience of packaged food.

Its website states Clean Energy tastes best chilled, but is shelf-stable at room temperature.
