Danone’s U.S. division on Tuesday announced a recall of select pints of its So Delicious brand non-dairy frozen dessert due to the potential presence of “foreign materials, such as small stones and other hard objects.”

Danone USA officials said that the problem was identified through “consumer complaints.” The foreign material was present “within the cashew inclusions” in the product; the company did not indicate whether any injuries or illnesses had resulted from the issue.
The product under the recall was distributed to retailers within the U.S.; Danone said that it is working with those locations to remove it from store shelves.
Consumers who purchased the affected product were advised not to consume it and to call a So Delicious “customer care line” for a refund or replacement coupon.
