Quaker Recalls Pancake and Waffle Mix

The Pearl Milling brand mixes could contain undeclared milk.

CHICAGO – The Quaker Oats Company on Tuesday issued a recall of a limited number of 2 pound boxes of Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix that may contain undeclared milk after being alerted by a retail partner.

Untitled Design 2025 01 17 T095415 422FDAThose with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.

Consumers would have been able to purchase this mix as early as Nov. 18, 2024. The product included in this recall was distributed to certain retailers in the following 11 states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Utah and Wisconsin.

No allergic reactions related to this matter have been reported to date.

No other Pearl Milling Company products are recalled.

The recalled product is in a cardboard box, and the “BBD” information listed below can be found on the top panel of the box:

  • Pearl Milling Company Original Pancake & Waffle Mix, 32 oz (2 lb.) 907g
  • UPC: 30000 65040
  • Code Date & Manufacturing Code: BBD SEP 13 25 P

If consumers have an allergy or sensitivity to milk, they should not consume the product and discard it immediately.

Quaker has informed the FDA of this action.
