Emerald Brand Walnuts Recalled Over Packaging Error

A limited number of incorrectly labeled packages were produced during the manufacturing process.

Flagstone Foods LLC, the manufacturer of Emerald Nuts, is issuing a voluntary recall of 6.5 oz. Emerald Kettle Glazed Walnut lot 2EE06284 because the packages contain undeclared peanuts, almonds and pecans.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts, almonds and pecans run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume or are exposed to the product from the impacted lot number and best by dates listed below.

The lot code and best by date can be found on the bottom right of the back panel of the package, near the barcode.

The product was distributed to Publix locations in Florida, Alabama and Georgia. Consumers have identified the mislabeled product in the state of Florida

This recall was initiated after consumers reported finding peanuts, almonds and pecans within packages labelled Emerald Kettle Glazed Walnuts. An investigation identified a limited number of incorrectly labelled packages were produced during the manufacturing process.

No other lot codes or any other Emerald branded products are involved in this action.

Flagstone Foods has not received any report of illness or injury to date.
