Craftology LLC — dba Dutch Treat Foods — of Zeeland, Michigan, is recalling its 14 ounce containers of “Craftology This Is My Happy Place Pasta Salad” because they may contain undeclared cashews.

People who have allergies to cashews run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled “Craftology This Is My Happy Place Pasta Salad” was distributed in the midwestern U.S. in retail stores. The product comes in a 14 ounce clear plastic clamshell package with a single label wrapped around on the top, side, and bottom of the container.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

This recall is not arising out of a food safety hazard. Craftology sources sunflower seeds from Lipari Foods Operating Company, which sources that ingredient from Shah Trading Company Limited. On Oct. 5, Lipari initiated a recall of sunflower seeds that company uses in the above referenced product due to an undeclared allergen, cashew, which was discovered in a case of the sunflower seeds oil bulk product produced by Shah Trading. Accordingly, Craftology is issuing a voluntary recall of product that contain the affected lot of the Shah Trading sunflower seeds. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of Craftology’s product.

Consumers who have purchased 14 ounce packages of "Craftology This Is My Happy Place Pasta Salad" are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 616-772-5921 Monday through Friday, 7AM to 3PM EST.
