South Dakota Supplier Recalls Croissant Sandwiches for Allergens

Recalled for undeclared egg and milk, it was distributed to four upper midwest states.

Dakota Toms of Corsica, SD is recalling Chicken Salad Croissant, because it may contain undeclared EGG and MILK allergen. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to EGG or MILK allergen run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Product was distributed in South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota to convenient stores and vending machines.

The Chicken Salad Croissants dated 12/7/2021-1/12/2022 located on the front of the package.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing egg and milk was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of egg and milk. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the production and packaging processes.
