Rockwell Automation To Present Smart Machine Technology At PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2017

On-site presentations to showcase how machine builders and their customers can benefit from innovative technology.

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 18, 2017 (Rockwell Automation release) — Attendees at this year’s PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2017, held on Sept. 25-27, can learn about the latest technology for smart machines offered by Rockwell Automation. During show-floor presentations and in-booth demonstrations, machine and equipment builders can discover how to build smart packaging machines with independent cart technology, analytics software and more.

“At PACK EXPO Las Vegas, OEMs can learn the steps to take toward designing and delivering smart machines that support their customers’ goals. As a result, they can strengthen their customer relationships and bring new business opportunities,” said Steve Mulder, OEM packaging and segment leader, Rockwell Automation.

Presentations by Rockwell Automation subject-matter specialists will be held at the Innovation Stage (C-1049) and feature the following topics:

  • Sept. 25, 2 p.m.: Independent Cart Technology — Changing the Way Customers View Packaging Automation
  • Sept. 26, 10 a.m.: Building a Smarter Machine
  • Sept. 26, 3 p.m.: Remote Monitoring — Adding Value to Your Machine Offering

Attendees also can see Rockwell Automation technology in action on the show floor. MagneMotion, a Rockwell Automation company, will be featuring its independent cart technology, iTRAK and MagneMover Lite, at Booth S-7377. Designed for the precise movement, positioning and tracking of loads, these modular, scalable motion control systems can increase throughput and efficiency in applications, such as packaging, pharmaceutical manufacturing, sterile and aseptic filling, lab automation and medical device manufacturing. Attendees can also see iTRAK technology by visiting the Cama Group (S-7250) and Bradman Lake (C-4027).

FactoryTalk Analytics for Machines from Rockwell Automation, a cloud-enabled capability that helps equipment builders collaborate with their customers, will also be on display. The FactoryTalk Analytics for Machines application simplifies remote monitoring by gathering data, analyzing performance analytics and providing the information needed to help improve machine performance, monitor maintenance and reduce downtime. Attendees can learn more about this technology by visiting R.A. Jones (C-3800) and Bradman Lake. In all, more than 25 members of the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork program will feature innovative technologies for various packaging applications.

In conjunction with its participation in PACK EXPO Las Vegas, Rockwell Automation is a title sponsor of the PACK Gives BACK benefit concert on Sept. 25, featuring the Doobie Brothers. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the American Red Cross to support Hurricane Harvey disaster relief efforts.
