Lubrication Engineers (Wichita, KS) introduced the Xport Star Vario Long Range for industrial equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency. The system is designed for precise electromechanical lubrication with secure wireless monitoring and can be used in hazardous or hard-to-reach areas within cement, mining, oil and gas and food and beverage facilities.

The Xport Star Vario Long Range provides an automatic single-point lubrication solution for roller bearings, open gears and electric motors using LoRaWAN wireless communication and 128-bit AES end-to-end encryption standards.

Features:

  • Enables remote monitoring and control via perma Connect app within radius of up to 1.2 miles
  • Operates independently of temperature and pressure to deliver exact lubricant discharge, building up to 109 psi (7.5 bar) to overcome backpressure in demanding applications
  • Users can configure discharge periods from one week up to 12 months, with multiple cartridge sizes (60, 120, 250, or 500 cc) to prevent under- or over-lubrication
  • Checks for new commands hourly and sends automatic updates on operating status, fill level percentage, ambient temperature and timestamps
  • Allows for cartridge exchange during running operation and enables maintenance from safe, accessible locations, reducing need for personnel to enter hazardous zones
  • Suitable for extreme environments (-40 to 140°F with lithium batteries) and remote mounting up to 5.5 yards from the lubrication point
