Condiment company HEINZ has debuted what it's calling a first-of-its-kind fry box with a built-in ketchup compartment, engineered to make dipping a more mobile activity.
The box, which comes in both ketchup and mayonnaise variants, features a fold-out cup for holding condiments.
“After spotlighting the uncanny resemblance between fry boxes and our iconic HEINZ Keystone globally, we wanted to take the next bold step: redesigning the age-old fry box to work even harder for our HEINZ lovers everywhere,” said Nina Patel, Vice President, Global Heinz Brand at the Kraft Heinz Company. “As more eating occasions happen away from home in drive-thrus and on-the-go moments, the HEINZ Dipper is a fun and relevant way to innovate to meet fans where they are and strengthen our role in their everyday lives.”
The patent-pending "HEINZ Dipper" will debut globally across 11 different countries including six cities within the U.S., and ten other countries including Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Philippines, Thailand, China and Kuwait.
U.S. locations getting the fry boxes include Fat Sal's Deli restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area, Devil Dawgs locations in and around Chicago, and the Texas Tech University United Supermarkets Arena.
