Magnetic Sensor Systems (Van Nuys, CA) introduced a Made in America series of 36 low-cost Latching Uni-Directional Solenoid. The S-18-100T Series is designed for economical integration and high-efficiency permanent magnet latching and can be used in office equipment, vending machines and switch activation.
The S-18-100T Series provides a momentary-pulse actuation and permanent magnet holding force for clamping, positioning and locking mechanisms using the AWG (American Wire Gauge) standard for winding specifications.
Features:
- Generates pull force when coil is momentarily energized and maintains position via internal magnets
- Releases plungers by briefly reversing polarity
- Available with either conical plunger for higher initial pull force or flat plunger for maximized holding force
- Offers 18 different winding options ranging from 23 to 40 AWG
- Features space-saving body measuring just 1.00 in. wide x 0.84 in. high x 1.73 in. long
- Equipped with 0.313 in. diameter plungers featuring a clevis end and 0.096 in. cross-drilled hole for standard roll pins, supporting 0.75 in. of travel
- Typical applications include valve control, office equipment, switch activation, clamping, positioning, games and toys, vending machines and door locks
