'Italian Job' Sub Recalled

An obsolete label was unscannable at the register, which led to discovering the issue.

7 Eleven

Hearthside Food Solutions of Woodridge, Illinois is voluntarily recalling sandwiches sold at 7-Eleven stores under the moniker "The Italian Job". The products fail to list eggs on the label, which are considered to be a potential allergen. In total, 1,038 of the sandwiches were distributed to 362 stores in Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois.

To date there have not been any reports of illness associated with this product. The issue was discovered when a sandwich was not scannable at the store. It was discovered that an obsolete ‘Italian Style Sub’ label was used, which did not declare “reduced fat mayonnaise,” an ingredient that contains eggs.
