Anheuser-Busch announced Monday that it will spend more than $9 million to upgrade brewing equipment at its facility outside Atlanta.
The brewing giant said that the project would enable increased production of Michelob Ultra, which it says is the nation’s fastest-growing beer brand and the top-selling beer in the Southeast.
Michelob Ultra is one of 48 products made at the Cartersville, Georgia, brewery, whose distribution footprint spans 32 states. The company has invested more than $230 million in the brewery since 2020.
The latest project is part of a broader $300 million spending initiative across Anheuser-Busch’s U.S. facilities.
“Our latest investment in Cartersville enables us to produce more of our iconic brands,” Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth said in a statement.
