Post Acquires TreeHouse Foods' RTE Cereal Business for $85M

The deal includes three facilities and inventory valued at $30 million.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Post Holdings, a consumer packaged goods holding company, announced Tuesday that it has acquired the ready-to-eat cereal business of TreeHouse Foods for $85 million, effective June 1. The acquisition includes two facilities located in Lancaster, OH and Sparks, NV, which feature a wide range of production capabilities across batch and extruded products, a research and development facility located in Sauget, Illinois as well as inventory valued at approximately $30 million. The financial results of the acquired RTE cereal business are expected to be reported in the Post Consumer Brands segment and are expected to be modestly dilutive to Post’s Adjusted EBITDA for fiscal year 2021 and accretive in fiscal year 2022.

Completion of Ronzoni Dry Pasta Brand Acquisition

8th Avenue Food & Provisions, Inc. announced Tuesday that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of the Ronzoni dry pasta brand and a dry pasta manufacturing facility located in Winchester, VA from Riviana Foods Inc., effective May 31. Ronzoni is a 100-year-old brand with a comprehensive portfolio across traditional and value-added pasta.
