Grocery chain Aldi has announced what company officials called the “largest packaging refresh” in its history, including an overhaul of its private-label lineup.
The company is rolling out its first namesake Aldi label, which will replace several current store brands. Other Aldi brands, such as Clancy’s, Simply Nature and Specially Selected, will have “an Aldi Original” added to the label, while Red Bag Chicken and others will feature nicknames adopted from Aldi shoppers.
Aldi says that more than 90% of its products are private label.
“Our customers already call our private labels ‘Aldi brands,’ and we’re excited to officially recognize them with a name they can see and trust," Aldi Chief Commercial Officer Scott Patton said in a statement.
