Lion Labs, a Michigan-based cannabis company, announced the name change of one its products—Potdots—to Potpots. Potpots remains the same hard candy shelled 1mg edible offered in both milk and dark chocolate.
This rebranding decision was made after receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Tootsie Roll, which alleged trademark infringement related to its “DOTS” gumdrops.
While Lion Labs firmly believes there is no merit to the claim, it opted to change its name to Potpots to avoid protracted legal proceedings with the nationwide candy company

We thank our loyal customers for continuing to support Lion Labs’ brands.”
Customers can expect no changes to the quality, consistency, or availability of their favorite 1mg chocolate edible- Potpots.
