Company offers freeze-dried fruits including apples, bananas, blackberries, lemons and oranges. Applications include confections, candy fillings, dessert and bakery mixes, breakfast cereals, snack mixes and stand-alone snacks. Frozen raw materials are placed in a refrigerated vacuum system and, without thawing, are dehydrated. The ice in the product is sublimated into water vapor. Product retains the color, shape, flavor and nutritional value of the original raw materials better than other drying methods.
