This ethylene-absorbing patch could help extend the shelf life of packaged fruits and vegetables. The Dri-Fresh® Fresh-Hold™ EA labels are a small patch, which can be almost hidden, that attracts and absorbs the ethylene release by the produce within. Produce that creates a lot of ethylene includes apricots, avocados, bananas, melons, kiwi fruits, mangoes, nectarines, papaya, peaches, pears, plums and tomatoes. The odor-absorbing patch can easily be integrated with any type of packaging: pads, bags, films, cartons or trays. It can be customized to fit specific requirements. It is available in a number of formats, including reel format for easy application.
