RIDGELAND, Miss. (AP) — Cal-Maine Foods Inc. on Tuesday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $110 million after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Ridgeland, Mississippi-based company said it had profit of $2.25.
The egg producer posted revenue of $593 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $132.7 million, or $2.72 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.78 billion.
Cal-Maine shares have increased 41% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $52.33, a climb of 50%, in the last 12 months.
