After two months of abstaining, Japan has announced it will resume importing U.S.-produced wheat. Japan had ceased imports after unapproved GMO wheat was found growing in an Oregon farmer's field. U.S. senator Ron Wyden celebrated the news.

"This announcement means that all of Oregon's Asian customers are now confident that the wheat they are buying is free of genetically modified organisms."
