Cascade Milling on Monday announced a "significant" expansion of its organic flour milling facility in central Washington State.
The project will add a new building to help meet demand for its organic flours, grains and baking mixes. The company also upgraded its retail packaging line, which will streamline its overall packaging process and allow it to offer private-label products.
"We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our facility and the upgrades to our retail packaging line," Justin Brown, the owner and CEO of Cascade Milling, said in the announcement. "The new building and enhanced packaging line are a testament to our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation. We are also delighted to offer private label organic flours, grains, and baking mixes, further expanding our product offerings to meet the needs of our customers."
In addition, Cascade said that it has donated nearly eight tons of its Just-Add-Water Organic Pancake & Waffle Mix to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in response to the recent fires in Southern California. The donation would equate to about 323,000 pancakes or waffles, the company said.
