The METTLER TOLEDO CI-Vision Mosaic 360° vision inspection system employs multiple cameras to inspect labels on round containers –– bottles, jars, cans, and tubes –– without the need to first orient them on the production line. Using advanced inspection technology, the system automatically verifies that the package labeling is complete, correctly applied and matches the packaged product. In addition to being more efficient than traditional 360° inspection systems, which are time-consuming to set up and calibrate, require slower production speeds and cannot adapt quickly to different product sizes, the Mosaic can adjust to varying product positions and packaging materials, producing fewer false rejects and increasing line uptime. Mosaic is ideal for beverage, personal care, household and any other products packaged in round containers.
Mosaic employs 6 cameras, reducing distortion and delivering optimum images. It installs over existing conveyor lines, eliminating line reconfiguration. Mosaic features an intuitive touchscreen interface running CI-Vision’s CIVCoreÒ software. Multi-level user controls and anti-circumvention technology ensure complete line security. The Mosaic multi-camera system is able to inspect un-oriented product at up to 1,000 ppm. The system includes applications that verify printed codes, including date/lot/product codes, barcodes, and 2D matrix codes. Mosaic is a valuable tool to help manufacturers deliver correctly packaged and labeled products to their retailers and consumers.
Implementation of the Mosaic vision inspection solution preserves product quality and brand image by ensuring that defective and mislabeled packages do not leave your facility. This eliminates costly product rework, retailer returns and product recalls. The implementation of a complete turnkey vision inspection solution ensures 100% product inspection, the only reliable way to ensure total quality output. The Mosaic solution can easily be integrated into new or existing production lines, while still meeting the demanding regulations of the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, and personal care industries
