High performance seasoning, bagging and conveying solutions will be demonstrated at this year's EXPO PACK in Mexico City. The five-seasoning system, a 3ci high speed vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) bagger and a three-conveyor will be presented at the expo. The seasoning ranges deliver flexibility in on-machine seasoning applications. Product has consistent coverage and flavor for both wet and dry seasoning. Product is integrated with both oil spray and flavor injection systems, providing control of adhesion and fast flavor changes for snack lines. Performance benefits are achieved through the positioning of the scarfplate within the drum. With the scarfplate positioned in-line with the drum flights, the resulting seasoning curtain falls consistently and evenly onto the tumbling product. The scalloped infeed conveyor allows more product to enter the seasoning drum, while also helping to control product direction for accuracy and reduced waste.
The 3ci VFFS packaging machine offers rates of up to 150bpm for applications such as potato chips and is suitable for high volumes of a wide variety of other products. The 3ci provides manufacturers with up to 30 percent improvement in performance. The conveyor benefits from total control of speed and direction to ensure smooth distribution of goods and minimal losses and breakages. Particularly suited to heavy coated products, as seasoning does not build up on the pans, the conveyor ensures that manufacturers comply with HACCP and QA standards.
