
Kennametal on Tuesday announced the launch of a new program that will highlight a “Machinist of the Year” across each of its business regions.
The cutting tool and engineered components manufacturer invited interested participants to post a video outlining their qualifications for the award and their use of Kennametal products to their social media channels. Nominees in each of the four regions — the Americas, Europe-Middle East-Africa, Asia-Pacific and India — will be announced in June, followed by voting by Kennametal teams in each area.
The winners will be announced at trade shows and online in September and October. Each winner will be designated as a “Kennametal Brand Ambassador,” as well as be featured on Kennametal online channels, receive thousands in branded “Machinist of the Year” tooling, additional signage and merchandise, and invitations to live demos at applicable trade shows.
