Taco Bell Beef Recalled for Metal Shavings

Consumer complaints led the restaurant chain to stop serving the meat before a recall was issued.

Columbus, Ohio-based Kenosha Beef International is recalling an undetermined amount of seasoned beef products that may be contaminated with metal shavings. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement.

The five-pound plastic bags of seasoned beef was produced between September 20 and October 4, 2019. It was shipped to five distribution centers, and from there to restaurant locations nationwide. The problem was discovered after three customer complaints, but there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
