Vernon, California-based Simply Fresh Fruit, a subsidiary of SFFI Company, Inc and one of the largest fresh-cut fruit providers in the U.S., was recently found in violation of 10 OSHA regulations. The proposed fines total $79,245.
The violations range from reporting and training program gaps to machine safety, work-at-height safety, lockout-tagout procedures and guards on moving chains. The violations were found as the result of a normal plant inspection. The company has 15 days within receiving the final report to pay or appeal the fines.
