Earlier this week Secaucus, New Jersey-based Freshpet, Inc. broke ground on a $100 million expansion of their production facility in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania. The makers of refrigerated dog and cat food will look to add 90,000 square feet and renovate their 50,000 square-foot Innovation Center. The company's total space will encompass a total of 140,000 square feet once the project is complete.

The company, which expects to hit $240 million in net sales this year, will also look to create 200 job in order to keep pace with increased product demand. A collection of local and state grants and tax breaks totaling $900,000 have been put in place to aid the project.
