Frito-Lay has issued a limited voluntary recall of 7-3/4-ounce bags of Lay’s Lightly Salted Barbecue Flavored Potato Chips because they may contain undeclared milk ingredients. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume the product.
The chips covered by this recall were distributed to retail locations in 24 states. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that these bags were inadvertently filled with another flavor of potato chips, potentially exposing consumers to undeclared milk. No adverse events related to this matter have been reported to date. Frito-Lay has informed the FDA of the action.
