Convenience store pioneer 7-Eleven launched its delivery app in 2017, and recently expanded in that area by announcing an 18-city beer delivery rollout. Although a number of other beer, wine, and spirits delivery options are available to the marketplace, industry experts feel a massive retailer like 7-Eleven could trigger an even stronger change in the market.
The new section of their delivery app will be called The Beer Necessities and offer access to traditional and craft beers, as well as ciders. The initial markets will include Austin, TX; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX; Los Angeles, CA; Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, FL; New York, NY; Norfolk-Portsmouth, VA; Orlando-Daytona, FL; Phoenix, AZ; Portland, OR; Sacramento, CA; San Antonio, TX; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle-Tacoma, WA; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL.
