Timken (Ferndale, WA) offers the Poly-Round plain bearings made from high-performance bearing-grade polymer materials or specialty metal alloys. Designed without a cage, balls or seals, they are the only available bearings with USDA design acceptance (per NSF/ANSI/3-A 14159-1 – 2002 hygiene requirements for the design of meat and poultry processing equipment). They operate without grease or oil in meeting food production specifications and most configurations are directly interchangeable with industry standard bearings.
