Conagra plans to invest about $220 million to expand an Arkansas production facility, company officials announced Friday.
The company said that it expects to begin construction later this year at its Fayetteville location to “significantly increase” its chicken production capacity and, in turn, grow its frozen foods business. The Fayetteville plant produces meals under the Hungry-Man, Banquet, Healthy Choice, Gardein and Evol brands, among others.
"Conagra is committed to investing in innovation across the company, including our supply chain,” Craig Weiss, the company’s senior vice president of supply chain, said in the announcement. “We are also pleased to continue growing in Fayetteville, where Conagra has a long history."
The company expects the multi-year investment to create more than 100 jobs over five years.
