Foodservice redistributor Honor Foods recently opened a new distribution center in central Florida, company officials announced.

The Honor Foods Orlando facility, located in Kissimmee, will serve the Florida market as well as customers across the southeastern U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean. It features 156,000 square feet of warehouse space, 32 loading docks and zones for dry, refrigerated and frozen products.

The complex opened with a staff of 20, and officials to add 20 more over the next 12 months. Ultimately, the facility is expected to create more than 100 jobs.

Honor expanded into the Southeast by acquiring fellow food redistributor Sunny Morning in 2023.

“Incorporating Sunny Morning into the Honor Foods Team built on our deep dairy category expertise and we were running tight on capacity in the Florida marketplace,” Honor Food President JD Spagler said in a statement. “We are thrilled to open this new facility to better serve our Sunny Morning customers and many long-standing customers served out of Philadelphia.”
