Campbell’s will introduce a gluten-free variety of its Goldfish brand crackers later this year, company officials announced Tuesday.

The company said the product was “one of the most requested innovations in the brand’s history;” Goldfish Crackers Senior Vice President Tiphanie Maronta said in a statement that the brand, part of Campbell’s Pepperidge Farm business, took the time “to make sure every detail — from the taste and texture to the iconic shape — was true to Goldfish.”
“We’ve heard from many families who love Goldfish but haven’t always been able to enjoy them together, and that feedback stayed with us,” Maronta said.
The brand’s original fish-shaped crackers are made with enriched wheat flour; the company did not disclose the ingredients in the forthcoming gluten-free variety.
