PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Vital Pharmaceuticals Inc. announced that founder, CEO, Chief Science Officer and Chairman John H. Owoc will no longer serve in his role as CEO and CSO or as a member of the board of directors.
Vital’s board announced that the company's chief transformation officer, John C. DiDonato, has been named Interim CEO and CTO, effective immediately. DiDonato is the national practice leader and managing director at Huron Consulting Company. He brings more than 35 years of experience leading companies through complex financial and operational transformations.

The company also announced that Gene Bukovi has been elevated to the position of chief operating officer.
