RADEX®-NC, TOOLFLEX® and the ROTEX® GS series couplings release few particles, making them well suited for clean room technology. These couplings were subjected to emission measurements to determine their suitability for use in clean rooms and classification into one of the clean room classes. All three series are servo couplings for precision applications. Since there are less surfaces moving towards each other, less wear arises on zero-backlash couplings than on drive systems with backlash, making them ideal for clean room applications. As a result, all units tested reached purity class 7 or 8, according to ISO 14644-1.
