Perdue, the sixth largest poultry company in the U.S., is getting into the beer business.
This week, the fourth-generation, family-owned company launched Beer Can Chicken Beer.
The new beer is a honey double-citrus summer ale brewed with traditional grilled chicken seasonings, like rosemary, thyme and pink peppercorn.
The idea is to help backyard BBQ chefs cook the perfect beer can chicken.
The “tangy and juicy” brew is a collaboration with NYC-based Torch & Crown Brewing Company.
Beer can chicken is a staple for many around the Memorial Day holiday and Perdue wanted to make a beer perfect for "grilling and sipping."
Six-pack sales start May 22, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. for about $14.99.
So, that means one for grillin’ and five for sippin’.
