Canadian jan-san distributor Dissan Group has acquired Ontario counterpart Maunco, company officials announced last week.
Maunco Cleaning Supplies Warehouse, based in Belleville, Ontario, provides commercial cleaning products to a “core market area” across southern Ontario, as well as to customers in additional markets beyond the province.
Dissan officials said that the company specializes in commercial cleaning equipment maintenance and repair, and that the deal represents a "significant step” for the Montreal company’s expansion efforts in Ontario. President and CEO Alex Trudel said the move “strengthens our ability to serve key markets across the province.”
Maunco co-owner Colin Ollerhead, meanwhile, said that the business “had reached a point where it was time to move to the next phase.”
“Choosing to move forward with Dissan, a Canadian company, was a natural fit for us,” Ollerhead said. “Their structure, values and long-term vision closely align with what we want for our company, our employees and our customers.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The transaction followed Dissan’s acquisitions of fellow Quebec distributors Pronet and V-TO late last year.
