Minnesota power transmission, conveyor and industrial supply distributor Baldwin Supply announced Wednesday that it has acquired Construction & Aggregate Products Inc.

CAP, based in Des Moines, Iowa, with another location in Lenexa, Kansas, is a distributor of critical parts to the aggregate, mining and construction sectors. Baldwin officials said the deal would bolster its investment in Iowa and expand its capabilities in the OEM and MRO markets.

“We’re excited to move forward together, combining the resources of the two leading independent distributors in the area,” Baldwin President Rob LaRue said in the announcement. “This is truly a win for both organizations, our employees and our customers.”

“Joining Baldwin Supply allows us to preserve what makes CAP special while gaining the scale, resources and opportunities of a larger organization,” added CAP President Dana Raley.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In addition to Minnesota and Iowa, Baldwin operates additional facilities in Wisconsin and North and South Dakota.
