Virginia indoor vertical farming company AeroFarms announced Tuesday that several of its greens products are now available at Harris Teeter grocery stores.

The company said that shoppers can find its β€œMicro Broccoli,” β€œRainbow Mix,” β€œMicro Kale” and β€œSuper Mix” products at all Harris Teeter locations across seven states in the Southeast, as well as the District of Columbia β€” including 20 stores located within a 90-mile radius of AeroFarms’ facility in Danville, Virginia.

Company officials said that indoor farming enables year-round access to greens and longer shelf lives while reducing the risk of food loss compared to greens grown in California or Arizona.

β€œThe adjacency of our farm in Virginia to Harris Teeter’s distribution centers translates to longer shelf-life, shorter transportation routes and, ultimately, more time for shoppers to use and enjoy our microgreens,” Dane Almassy, AeroFarms senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in a statement.
