The maker of the Biscoff cookie brand announced an agreement to expand its ice cream into new markets beginning next year.

Lotus Bakeries has added ice cream to its existing licensing agreement with snacks giant Mondelez International, paving the way for its production by ice cream manufacturer Froneri. Beginning in 2026, Froneri will produce, market and sell Biscoff ice cream in several European nations before expanding to others "in due time."

The brand first launched the ice cream in 2019.

“Partnering with Froneri will unlock new opportunities for Biscoff, allowing us to leverage their extensive expertise in product development, market insights, and industry-leading knowledge," Lotus Bakeries CEO Jan Boone said in the announcement. "This collaboration will strengthen our position in the ice cream sector, enabling Biscoff to grow into a global ice cream brand."
