PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — United Natural Foods Inc. on Tuesday reported fiscal third-quarter earnings of $67 million.
On a per-share basis, the Providence-based company said it had net income of $1.10.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $0.98 per share.
The organic and specialty foods distributor posted revenue of $7.24 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $7.12 billion.
United Natural expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.65 to $4.90 per share with revenue in the range of $28.8 billion to $29.1 billion.
