OAK BROOK, Ill. (AP) — TreeHouse Foods Inc. on Monday reported a loss of $3 million in its first quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Oak Brook, Illinois-based company said it had a loss of $0.05. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $0.15 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations.The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $0.55 per share.
The food maker posted revenue of $1.14 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.09 billion.
