Maintenance and cleaning product brand Zep Inc. on Monday named Tim Feast as the company’s new chief executive officer.

Feast joins the company after roles at PurposeBuilt Brands, KIK Custom Products, Graham Packaging, Spartech Corp., Tempel Steel and Solutia Inc. Zep officials said that he has a mandate to “accelerate growth, sharpen execution, and lead Zep into its next phase of performance.”

Zep, founded in 1937, is owned by Los Angeles private equity firm Truelink Capital Management, which purchased the business from New Mountain Capital last year.

“Zep is an incredible brand with a foundation that is the envy of this industry, trusted by professionals for 85 years and increasingly by consumers who demand real performance,” Feast said in the announcement. “I’m excited to join the Zep team and our partners at Truelink Capital to capture the significant opportunities ahead of us.”

“Tim is the right leader to take Zep forward,” added Truelink co-founder and Managing Partner Todd Golditch.
