Toyota Material Handling (Columbus, IN) introduced the 5/35 Lithium-ion Batteries, expanding its energy solutions portfolio with a new line of lithium-ion battery options for forklifts.

The 5/35 batteries are designed to provide a maintenance-free, cost-effective power source for forklifts. They are manufactured using the Toyota Production System and align with operational efficiency and environmental stewardship goals.

  • Available in 24V, 36V, and 48V power capacities
  • Suitable for use across multiple industries, including cold storage, food and beverage and manufacturing
  • Integrated thermal management for performance from -22°F to 122°F
  • Built-in counterweight and adjustable spacers for fit and balance without additional battery spacers
  • Dual A320 charge ports with ergonomic access and single- or dual-charger compatibility
  • Dedicated truck connector with drive-away protection to prevent disconnecting during charge
  • Compatible with Toyota’s lithium-ion chargers, which integrate with batteries’ onboard Battery Management System
  • Chargers support 24V to 48V operation with modular design for service and future expansions
  • Auto bypass of modules for uninterrupted operation
  • UL and CEC certifications for compliance in U.S. and Canada
  • Six-year limited warranty covering parts, labor, and travel costs

The 5/35 lithium-ion batteries support charging times as fast as one hour with dual-cable fast chargers and offer a cycle life of up to 5,000 cycles. They provide long-term, low-maintenance forklift power solutions that increase uptime and reduce operational costs.
