Its quick-change features can reduce downtime by 30 percent from conventional changeover. Change-over can be completed in three steps: Unbolt and replace the gripper assembly, slide product guide rails to new settings and select the new container style at the operator control panel to activate proper machine actions for the new product/case handling. Complete gripper assemblies for all pack/bottle patterns eliminates need for gripper adjustment. Guide rail placement is simplified with sliding and locking handles that allow for quick adjustments to the new specifications. Product packs glass and plastic bottles, jugs, and jars in specialty shapes, as well as metal and composite cans and many styles of cartons. Servo-driven pick-and-place operation ensures gentle product handling to maintain container and label integrity. Containers are packed under full control from conveyor to shipper.
