CHICAGO (PRNewswire) — What would make an advertising icon's centennial year complete? For the Morton Salt Girl, it would be to earn a spot on the Advertising Week Walk of Fame – the ad industry's version of The Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Now in her 100th year, the Morton Salt Girl recently earned a nomination for Advertising Week's prestigious Walk of Fame on Madison Avenue in New York City. If selected, she would become the first girl icon to appear on the Walk of Fame.
Each year, a brand icon is added to the Walk of Fame and recognized with a permanent street banner. Winning icons are selected through a public voting process.
Morton Salt is encouraging fans to cast their vote for the Morton Salt Girl in the poll on Advertising Week's Facebook page. The poll closes on Friday, Sept. 19.

Advertising Week will reveal who is selected for the Walk of Fame on Monday, Sept. 29 at the NASDAQ MarketSite.
