Bob Evans Pasta Recalled for Inspection Violation

A FSIS review of production records triggered the recall.

Lima, Ohio-based BEF Foods is recalling approximately 527 pounds of beef pasta products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and outside of inspection hours. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement. The 18-ounce sealed plastic trays of ready-to-eat Bob Evans Beef Stroganoff Pasta were shipped to retail locations in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

The problem was discovered when FSIS personnel reviewed production records. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
