Metal Pieces Lead to Vienna Beef Recall

The problem was discovered at the production facility and reported to FSIS.

Chicago, Illinois-based Vienna Beef Ltd. is recalling approximately 2,030 pounds of beef frank links products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) made the announcement.

The 10-pound cases of Skinless Beef Frankfurters were produced on May 2 and shipped to food service locations in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The problem was discovered at the production facility and reported to FSIS. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
