Barron’s recently unveiled their top 100 rankings of the most sustainable public companies. Their list spanned a number of industries, with several prominent food companies in the mix. They included:
- #15 was Kellog, up from #33 last year.
- #22 McCormick, up from #48 last year.
- #31 Darden Restaurants, which includes Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse and several other dining establishments. It dropped from #15 in 2018.
- #56 Starbucks, down from #41 last year.
- #61 Campbell Soup, down from #57 last year
- #64 Hershey, which didn’t make the top 100 in 2018.
- #66 PepsiCo, which dropped from #26 last year.
- #90 Yum! Brands, which improved from #93 last year.
- #92 Coca-Cola, which didn’t make this list in 2018.
The food company with the most market value on the list is Coca-Cola at over $209 billion, according to Barron's. Campbell Soup owned the lowest estimated market value, coming in at $10.5 billion.
