PRNewswire/ -- Lakeview Farms has announced their acquisition of Tribe Mediterranean Foods. Lakeview Farms is a leading marketer and manufacturer of refrigerated desserts, dips, seafood salads and spreads primarily sold at retail outlets across the United States.
Based in Taunton, Massachusetts, Tribe Mediterranean is a leading manufacturer of preservative-free prepared hummus products. Tribe hummus is plant-based, kosher-certified, vegan-friendly, and contains no GMO ingredients, no artificial preservatives, no cholesterol, no hydrogenated oils or high-fructose corn syrup. Lakeview sees the acquisition as a way to enter the $800 million hummus category with an established national brand.
Tribe employs approximately 85 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees. Delphos, Ohio-based Lakeview Farms employs approximately 500 people and has a product line that includes dips, desserts, mousses, gelatins and salads. Their brands include Luisa's, Salads of the Sea, Sea Gold and Senor Rico.
