Chukar Cherries in Prosser, Washington has expanded a recall on their Ultra Dark Chocolate product because it may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The products were distributed in AK, AZ, CA, CO, IA, ID, KS, ME, MN, MO, MT, NJ, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT and WA through retail stores. The product is sold in 7.5-ounce plastic pouches. No allergic reaction has been reported in consumption of these four products to date.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that ultra dark chocolate containing milk was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk.
